Why dark circles happen
Dark circles can come from extra pigment, visible blood vessels under thin skin, hollowness that casts a shadow, or a mix of these. Genetics, ageing, allergies, rubbing the eyes, lack of sleep and sun can all contribute.
How dark circles are treated
Because the causes differ, treatment is chosen after an assessment.
- Pigment: creams, peels or laser for darker under-eye skin
- Hollowness: under-eye fillers in selected cases
- Skin quality: skin boosters, PDRN or mesotherapy
- Daily care: sun protection, treating allergies and not rubbing the eyes

Questions
Frequently asked questions
More questions? Ask the clinic on WhatsApp.
Can dark circles be removed permanently?
They can often be lightened, but complete removal is not always possible, especially when they are inherited.
Do eye creams work?
Some help with pigment or dryness; the right choice depends on the cause.
Are under-eye fillers safe?
In trained hands they can be, but the under-eye area needs careful assessment and technique, and the risks are discussed with you.
Will sleep fix dark circles?
Sleep helps tired-looking eyes but doesn’t fix pigment or hollowness.
