Volume loss and facial balance
With age, the face gradually loses volume and support, which can make areas look hollow or tired and deepen folds. Some people also want to refine a specific feature. Fillers can address these changes when used thoughtfully and in proportion.
How fillers work
Most dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the skin. The gel is injected into specific areas to restore volume, support tissues or improve contour. Results are visible straight away and continue to settle over the following weeks.
Hyaluronic acid fillers are gradually broken down by the body, and can be dissolved with an enzyme if needed. Areas commonly treated can include the cheeks, lips, under-eyes, chin, jawline and folds around the mouth.

How long do fillers last?
It depends on the product, the area and your body. It commonly ranges from several months to over a year.
Can fillers be reversed?
Hyaluronic acid fillers can usually be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if needed.
What are the risks?
Common effects include swelling, bruising and tenderness. Less commonly, lumps or asymmetry can occur. Rarely, filler can block a blood vessel, which needs urgent treatment. This is why fillers should only be given by a trained doctor who can recognise and manage complications.
Will it look natural?
That is the aim. Treatment is planned in proportion to your features and built up gradually if needed.
