Diagnosis comes first

Many skin and scalp conditions look alike but respond to very different treatments. A careful history, examination and, where useful, tests help reach a clear diagnosis before treatment starts, especially for conditions that have been difficult to treat.

Dermoscopy

A non-invasive examination with a handheld magnifying device and special lighting. It shows details of the skin, hair and nails that are not visible to the naked eye, supporting diagnosis without discomfort.

Long-term care for chronic skin conditions

Conditions such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis tend to be long-term, with periods of improvement and flares. Care is planned over time and adjusted as your skin responds, from skincare and topical treatments to oral medicines.

About biologics

Biologics are targeted medicines, usually given by injection, that act on specific parts of the immune system. They may be considered for selected patients with moderate to severe psoriasis or atopic dermatitis when other treatments have not worked well enough or are not suitable. Suitability, monitoring and possible side effects are discussed in detail.
